Sometimes You Think
Sometimes you think, and you begin to look at life and the environment around you. You look at your car, your house, and your neighborhood. You look at your job, your spouse, your children, your friends, and the control factors in your life. And you begin to wonder. How is this all connected? How is all this a part of us, and how are we a part of it? There seems to be so many things here that make us feel unhappy, or nervous, or suppressed. As if, a hamster running on a wheel trying to keep up. To maintain this, whatever this is.
And suddenly we stop and look and decide that this cannot be right. We always seem to have a sense in our heart that there is something wrong here. Something needs to be done. Look at our children, look at our lives, look at all of the anger, all of the hatred. All the negativity that is bombarding us constantly, the temptation, the greed to want more, and want more, and want more.
All we have ever wanted was to love and be loved. To make a difference in this world, and to share that difference with those we love. Isn't that all it is about. Isn't it time that we get out of this state of denial, take a look at our world, and realize that even the slightest anger we have toward those who are intolerant is in itself a negative action. Let us start sharing that love with each other through awareness. The time is now to become aware. The time is now to look bravely at the world around us. This world that we have created, and has come and invaded our lives in such a negative way. Now we have become enemies with our friends and friends with our enemies.
It is time for us to look with bravery at what we have allowed to become of our world. What we have allowed to manifest in this life. This is it. This moment is all we have. None of us are perfect and we will never be. We can however strive for that perfection. Debate and discuss, respect and take responsibility for the freedoms that we hold dear. Not one of us will have all the answers, but through debates and discussions what is best for the individual and for the country can coexist peacefully.
We need to look forward and in order to look forward we have to be brave enough to take a very detailed look at the world around us. Look at our actions, the people we have aligned ourselves with, as friends, and associates, elected officials. Are they negative people? Do they drive you to do negative things that are unhealthy for the mind, body, or the world around you?
And in our politics, we must stop being afraid debate and discuss. We are not here to focus energy towards a person, only a problem. Together we can solve any problem presented so long as we supply ourselves the knowledge to do so. And not allow our education to slip out of our control. This runs our world; we are responsible for creating this world. If we do not participate in its creation, someone will do it for us and as we can see most of us do not like the outcome of this system. The empathy or apathy of allowing somebody to do it for us. We must be brave enough to say, we take responsibility now. We look at the obstacles that we have allowed to create in the leadership of our world, our country, our state, and our cities. What ever it is that imposes its will upon us and lessens our individual freedoms. This we must consider to be a threat to our spiritual freedom.
Now we must leave this denial behind, bravely look the obstacles in the face, work through them, and take responsibility to create a better world for tomorrow.
